Finally, a piece of quiet living; you'd think at the age Jasmine was, she could afford leisurely time. She had a little girl, that was true, but Ven could've been taken care of by her two older siblings; that's why you always should go for more than one kid, they could keep care of the younger ones. But asking Kayden to drop his date with Aly would be a death sentence. So the only child left was Liz, who was still recovering after Simon's death. Jasmine herself still needed some time to heal from the loss of her husband, but Liz spent too much time by herself. She should be in the Italian sun more; sending her for a play date with Ven was the perfect idea.
With balancing teaching, taking care of her uncle's school, modeling, and designing her upcoming fashion line, it was amazing Jasmine felt bored with her life. Well, not in a big way. But a small part of her, back in the mind, kept on irking her, begging her to do something more fun. What more fun can she have then living in a dream home: an Italian villa like mansion? Well not much if you take the place as your big, state of the line office. Sad, wasn't it?
She stifled a yawn, using the back of her left hand to cover her gaping mouth as the right arm stretched over head of her, falling limp right after on the armrest of the sofa. Her bare legs were stretched, to the afternoon warm sun, covered knee up with white leggings. Her stilettos were resting on the ground, by the coffee table, which was covered with the designs she finished perfecting. Her dress-like shirt was striped with a beautiful harmony of colors; shades that were in the rainbow, chunky strips of them, but suiting well together. The trinkets, different shades and sizes of bracelets and bangles, clinked and chimed as her arms moved, a hand running through her naturally curly red hair.
She sighed, miserably, and closed her eyes. Leisure time sucked.

He had ridden up to a quiet villa, and figured the kids to be out doing something, but when one car still remained parked in the driveway he knew someone was home. Although he had a key, his need for it did not arise, as the front door was unlocked and easily opened with a gentle push. He smiled as his eyes fell upon the warm, yellow decor that greeted him with hearty hospitality, and becokened him inward.
His steps were carefully placed, for silence was his goal, and he scanned each room for signs of life. When at last he drew up closer, he heard the soft clinking of jelwry from the living room. Moving into the room, brown eyes fell upon the creature which sighed upon the couch, eyes closed in misery, and poised with grace it was hard to believe this was relaxed; the woman appeared to be expecting a photographer to snap her picture at any moment--she was obviously a model.
Noiselessly, he man sat before her on the floor so his eyes were leveled with her own. AS he gazed fondly upon her, he extended a hand which gently caressed her cheek, and turned it towards himself. His voice was smooth, and mellow with age, but the twinkle in his eyes was the spark commonly found in teens. "I could show you a world--filled with magic and splendor."

She didn't open her eyes immediately. Of course he was bound to show up; just when and in what fashion was unknown. Instead, she softly smiled, and brought her own hand to his, and without hesitation, lacing her fingers into his own. The back of his hand felt cool against her warm palm. She raised an eyebrow, eyes still closed, as she said, "You're no magician... nor illusionist."
Her eyes snapped open, both green and blue orbs looking at him like a cat. One side playful, the other more daring. She smiled wickedly and stated, "You're a jester."
She sat up immediately, placing his hand in her lap as she folded her legs and tucked them in. She adjusted her dress to cover her legs as she leaned back on the sofa. Playing around with his fingers, she asked without looking at him, "So what are you doing today?" She didn't want to sound needy for an excuse to get out of the house, -since it was her 'leisure' time-, but she was curious to see if she had any... openings to go outside. That's it: openings.

Jack smiled at her, standing up only to situate himself on the couch next to her. His right arm embraced her shoulders, while he let her continue to play with his left hand. "A jester? Well, then clearly you don't know me after all these long years." He clasped her hand and drew her closer. "You see, i'm a writer. I could take you to a Neverland, if you let me. I could teach you to how to live...to laugh...and to," He hesitated a moment, knowing Jazz could sometimes get touchy about the subject, but still he proceeded onwards. "and to love. You seem to have forgotten that, Jasmine."
He gave her shoulder a squeeze before letting his eyes wander outside where he could see a black horse grazing on the bushes. He smirked and allowed his eyes to return to Jasmine's once more, "You remember Nova? He was Night's first son. Well, he had a son who's the spitting image of his grandfather; acts alot like him too. His name's Cosmic, and if you'd like we could go riding along the country side; it isn't france or night time, but it could still be loads of fun."

She bit her lip as he spoke to her, cheeks slowly blooming red. He had nerves, Jack Barrie really did, but he was right. She just didn't want to admit to him that she was falling in love quite too fast; rebounding a bit too quickly. What scared her more was the realization that she had these feelings all along; when she thought she had destroyed them, she had only supressed them. Even though she broke his heart, he was the one who told her he didn't want to see her again. She had to close her heart up completely. Until now.
Don't make yourself look needy; silently cursing her hopeful look at him, immediately she snapped her mouth open and said, "Jack, I have to run a couple of errands in town." She sat straighter and leaned towards the wooden table, gently drawing the sheets towards her over the glass surface, careful not to stratch it. As she slowly placed the sheets into the leather portfolio, she commented, "Do you have a thing for naming your horses after astronomical objects? I did for my cats... I named my first cat Io, since she was orange, and it reminded me of the orange moon by Jupiter."
She settled all the papers finally into the folder. She reached for her stilettos and slid one foot into the heels, adjusting the straps around her ankle. As she slid the second one on, she turned to him, a smile forming. "Say if... I agreed to your suggestion... I'll only come if you ride me-- to town first. Also get some coffee... and pie."

Pie. Nothing more never needed to be said after that, when speaking to Jack Peter Barrie. He grinned at Jasmine and pulled her to her feet, glancing over at the bush and then back at her. "Oh by the way, you might have to trim one of your bushes shorter to even it out; even in his better years Cosmic still has a stallion's appetite."
Pivoting on his heel, back now to Jasmine, a look of reflief passed over his face; she hadn't gotten touchy about the love subject. Which means she was slowly getting better...moving on; without or without Jack, at least she was moving on. With his smile vanquished, he turned around again and gave a warm grin. "I'll take you into town. And as for the astonomy? Wasn't my idea; Night wanted his son named Nova, and Comic was short of Cosmic Wonders, and did you know Night's real name was actually 'Dreamer' in french? YEah, said he hated it...so we changed that."
As he started off towards the door, Jack stopped, hesitating before glancing over his shoulder and looking at Jasmine once more. "If i talk to horses, does that make me insane?"

Jasmine's mouth was gaping open but she snapped it shut. She was sure not to bring up her sarcastic remark about him talking to his horses. She laughed and tucked her folder underneath her arm as she walked towards him, simply saying, "At least they're living. I talk to my drawings and photos. That's worse."
She patted his back and walked ahead of him, calling out, "I need to get my wallet." She headed towards the den, the center of her house-office station. Her purse was there, matching her outfit (not by coincidence, mind you), and she snatched it up. But before she could leave, entirely, she quickly scribbled a note to the kids saying business demanded her to go to town.
Satisfied with the note, she came out of the den and met Jack at the door. She warned him, pointing at her shoes, "I don't know how well I'll get on the horse with these... can we take the car?" She gave him a hopeful look. Besides, her love-then hate- then love-then hate again relationship towards horses was quite strange, considering she forgot her past history with them. She clasped onto his arm, saying, "We can ride the horse while going to the country side. But for now, I want to go into the car. I'll even change for the horse ride!"

Jack looked down at her shoes and smiled. "Nonsense, i can pick you up still. I may be old, but you're still perfectly light; age has been kind to you." He gave her a playful wink before walking out the door, pursing his lips, and letting a shrill whistle cut through the air. The horse was soon heard clopping happily, reigns jinggling, and soft thudding of the saddle stirrups. Arriving at the foot of the stoop to the villa, Cosmic bobbed his head before giving a playful snort.
Jack grinned at his likeness to Night--even down to his strong, black eyes--and in Cosmic's older age, even more like him personality wise. "I told you, didn't i? Spitting image...only trouble is, Night had and attitude, this poor guy would go out of his way to avoid stepping on an ant. Gentle giant, really." Jack stepped down the stairs and mounting the horse with fluid grace. Jack held the horse steady as he offered a hand to Jasmine. "Come now, cars are no fun now a days. Horses, that's the way to make a person think twice; especially Italians; you should've seen me riding up here."

Jasmine giggled and rolled her eyes, putting her hand gently into his. "How can I resist to that," she sarcastically remarked and with a remarkable agility, mounted behind him. She blinked, surprised at her agility and ability. She hadn't descently ridden a horse for awhile. Ages, really. She raised the strap of her purse tightly by her shoulder and wrapped her arms around his waist, tightening it to what she hoped was painful.
"I would've looked amazing in a car, Mister Barrie," she informed him, leaving her chin to rest on his shoulder. "Strikingly amazing, if I do say so myself. You just missed the opportunity." She leaned away, loosening up her grip on him as she said. "I think I'll like Cosmic a bit more; at least it won't bully me as much." She blinked and then giggled, "No, I was thinking of how Night used to bully you. Nevermind, I think we'll get along as famously as I did with Night."
